Escalation of DSAR to the ICO
On 5 June 2025, I submitted a formal Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) to St Philips Chambers via Wendy Millers KC, asking for data held on me, then a further email on 7th June seeking removal and clarification of personal data published without consent on barrister Wendy Miller KC’s chambers profile page.
On 13 June 2025, St Philips Chambers refused my request as “manifestly unfounded,” without providing any objective rationale or evidence. I replied on the same day June 2025, offering to narrow the scope of my request and requesting detailed justification of their refusal, setting a 14‑day deadline for their response.
No substantive response was received by the revised deadline of 27 June 2025, nor by the end of the one‑month period permitted under the GDPR.
Accordingly, I have today lodged a formal complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office seeking:
- Enforcement of my DSAR rights and disclosure of the requested data (or valid exemptions supported by evidence).
- Remediation of any unlawful processing or publication of my personal data.
I remain committed to transparency and will publish the ICO’s response in full as soon as it is received.
