TCAP Statement : HMCTS Complaint Records Requested Before Ombudsman Escalation

TCAP has today requested the complete HMCTS complaint record for complaint ref 77553129, concerning Employment Tribunal case 6019060/2024.

The request asks HMCTS to provide the full complaint trail, including the original complaint, all stage responses, any review or final response, routing/classification records, and confirmation of which response HMCTS considers to be the final response for Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman purposes.

A separate subject access request has also been sent to HMCTS / MoJ Data Access concerning complaint ref 77553129 and Employment Tribunal case 6019060/2024.

Alan Strickland MP’s office has been copied into the correspondence.

For clarity, the intended Ombudsman escalation concerns HMCTS administration, complaint handling, file handling, and asymmetrical treatment. It is not a request for the Ombudsman to overturn an Employment Tribunal judgment.

The issue is simple: before the matter is placed before the Ombudsman, HMCTS should identify the full complaint trail and explain what it considers to be the final response.

The record is now being requested properly. TCAP will provide any updates when necessary once they occur.
