The Farmer Paradox
Cummins struts around pretending it’s saving the world for farmers. Farmers Guide sings their praises: “supporting farmers by developing new power options” and a “fuel-agnostic, technology-neutral approach.” Cute, isn’t it?
Except here’s the reality: the same engines that powered Dodge Rams pumped out emissions that fueled climate chaos. Billions in fines later, but more importantly, extra pollution choked crops, dried fields, flooded others, and ruined livelihoods. And now Cummins sells farmers engines that supposedly “help” while profiting from the disasters their own products worsened. What’s next? Selling sandbags after the village has flooded?
Driving Cummins-Powered Fire Trucks Into Danger
Firefighters risk their lives in Cummins-powered trucks, battling blazes worsened by rising temperatures, droughts, and volatile weather – conditions intensified by global warming and, yes, emissions cheats. Like Cummins. The company helped stoke the infernos and still cashes in on the engines racing into them, where the brave put their lives on the line. It’s grotesque.
Profit Over Reality
The scale of harm far outweighs the “help” Cummins pretends to offer. Crops lost, firefighters endangered, communities at risk – all while Cummins spins decarbonisation PR as if it matters. Dividends rise alongside global temperatures. They aren’t fixing anything; they’re selling solutions to the mess they created and laughing all the way to the bank.
